Modern Slavery Statement
Last Updated: February 2026
1. Our Commitment
This statement is made pursuant to Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and sets out the approach taken by Excel Accountants Ltd to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking within our business and supply chain.
Although Excel Accountants Ltd does not meet the turnover threshold requiring mandatory publication, we voluntarily publish this statement as part of our commitment to ethical business practice and professional responsibility.
2. Our Business
Excel Accountants Ltd is a UK based accountancy and advisory firm providing accounts preparation, tax compliance and planning, payroll, bookkeeping, company formations and business growth planning.
We operate from:
105 Boundary Street
Liverpool
L5 9YJ
United Kingdom
The firm employs a small UK team and may also utilise external specialist support providers where appropriate.
3. Zero Tolerance Approach
We have zero tolerance for modern slavery, forced labour, servitude or human trafficking in any part of our business.
We are committed to acting with integrity and transparency in all relationships and to implementing systems and controls designed to ensure modern slavery does not take place within our organisation.
4. Our Supply Chains
As a professional services firm, our supply chains are limited and considered low risk. They primarily consist of software providers, office premises and facilities services, IT and web providers and professional advisers.
We do not manufacture goods. We may use external specialist support providers, including a larger professional services firm based overseas, to assist with certain administrative or technical tasks.
Where this applies, we expect the same professional and ethical standards as we do internally and require suppliers to comply with applicable laws and fair working practices.
5. Employment Practices
All UK staff are recruited directly by Excel Accountants Ltd.
We ensure that employees have the legal right to work in the UK, employment is freely chosen, employees are paid fairly in accordance with UK employment law and working conditions meet all relevant health and safety standards.
We do not engage in forced labour, bonded labour or involuntary servitude and we do not retain personal identity documents.
6. Overseas Supplier Controls
Where overseas support is used, we take proportionate steps to reduce risk. These may include confirming supplier reputation and scale, reviewing relevant policies and contractual terms, limiting the type of work shared and restricting access to systems and data on a need to know basis.
We require all suppliers to maintain a zero tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking.
7. Due Diligence and Risk Management
Given the nature of our professional services activities, the risk of modern slavery within our business is considered low. However we still take preventative measures including using reputable suppliers, maintaining direct oversight of work and monitoring supplier relationships.
If concerns were identified we would investigate promptly and terminate relationships where appropriate.
8. Reporting Concerns
We encourage employees and associated parties to raise concerns about unethical or unlawful conduct. Reports will be treated seriously and confidentially.
9. Ongoing Commitment
Excel Accountants Ltd will continue to review its procedures to ensure our operations remain ethical and compliant with UK legislation and professional standards.
This statement is approved by the Director of Excel Accountants Ltd.
